Panasonic's KX-TG8231B expandable phone system uses DECT (Digital Enhanced Cordless Telecommunications) technology to give you clear conversation with reduced noise and excellent cordless range. This system operates in the 1.9 GHz frequency bandwith so it won't cause problems with Wi-Fi® computer networks or other common wireless devices. The handset features a 1.5" color LCD with customizable display and wallpaper settings. Caller ID lets you see who's calling before you answer, even if you're in the middle of a call. The speakerphone built into the handset lets you keep your hands free while you chat. A built-in digital answering machine helps you manage all of your calls. And if you want to expand the system to accommodate a large household or small business, you can add up to five handsets — for a total of six — using just one phone jack. Once a number is in the Caller List, it can be manually or automatically edited (to add or remove area codes or prefixes), saved in the Directory, or deleted.
